A Dog's Day at the Beach

At Carmel Beach just south of town we enjoyed a sunny and warm winter morning.  Bailey and Chloe enjoyed running along the beach.

  They had a good time playing with a spunky Brittney Spaniel who had every bit as much energy as our two.

 People who walked with their calm dogs smiled at the energy and drive of these dogs.

Really enjoy the below picture of Bailey as he heads into the surf after a bird.

Chloe loves me to throw here bright green ball into the surf and nothing will stop here from bringing it back. She is quite the body surfer.

 

Vizslas Enjoying Carmel

 This first weekend of January 2013 , we stayed in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The dogs and we had a wonderful three days.  This little resort community maybe the most dog-friendly town in California.  Well-mannered dogs are welcomed on Carmel's beach off leash.

When we arrived Thursday afternoon, the first stop was the place we stayed (Carmel River Inn).  This last weekend may have been the least expensive weekend of the year.  Our little one bedroom cottage was $95 per night and $20 per dog per night (two dog maximum).  This same cottage in the summer would be north of $300 per night plus the dog fee.

After we checked in with the office it was off to the beach for a wonderful sunset walk along the shoreline.
