The World's Largest Army - America's Hunters?

The below information was E-mailed to me by a good friend of mine who also owns these great dogs:

"The state of Wisconsin has gone an entire deer hunting season without someone getting killed.

 That's great. There were over 600,000 hunters. Allow me to restate that number.

 Over the last two months, the eighth largest army in the world - more men under arms than Iran;  more than France and Germany combined - deployed to the woods of a single American state to help keep the deer menace at bay.

 But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are in the woods of Pennsylvania this week.

 Michigan 's 700,000 hunters have now returned home.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia , and it is literally the case that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

 America will forever be safe from foreign invasion of troops with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting - it's not just a way to fill the freezer.

 It's a matter of national security! "

 Sportsman's Ridge Hunt Club is a new hunting club that is less than 2 years old.  The three co-owners of the hunt club are Vizsla guys and are just starting to set up their business.  These are great grounds for a walking field trial and the guys really worked hard to make everyone's experience to be a good one.

They even gave us mid 70's temperatures and a great sunset.

The new motor home for two bird dogs

 In 2006 we got our first RV.  The 17 foot Bandit was mounted on a 1987 Nissan one ton truck.  It was a "pop up" good for two adults and a pup.

Then we got Bailey and we had to move up to the 1989 23 foot Aero Cruiser.  Good for two adults and two dogs.

Now our kids have had kids and so now there are three grandchildren. So we found and now use our 1997 27' Lazy Daze for our newest family and dog adventures.

Chloe is our lap dog on these trips.

In the Central California coast city of Santa Barbara, there is a dog- friendly beach named Arroyo Burro.

" It's "real" name is Hendry's Beach, but you won't see any signs proclaiming this. At the same time if you ask a local where "Arroyo Burro Beach" is you might get a funny look. Nobody, I mean NOBODY, calls it that.


It's a good beach for walking and a great beach for dogs it has little else to offer. For dogs you want to turn left, after you cross the slew it's a "No Leash" area. For walking I recommend turning right and watching the sunset. It's a chilly walk into the wind but when you turn around the wind and sun are at your back and it becomes much warmer. Better chilly on the way there than the way back I say. There are also some outdoor showers if you want to rinse off your feet. "

 Here well-mannered dogs may enjoy the waters and sandy beach leash free.

Bailey and Chloe really enjoyed the surf. They both have no fear of waves and on this day the waves were very small.
